Industry Spotlight Canada’s mission is to be the premier website portal, providing education and career resource materials to students and educators in Alberta.

Industry Spotlight is a unique and contemporary teaching tool designed to encourage young adults to consider careers in industries that directly affect Alberta’s economy. The short films and website are designed to be inspirational, encouraging students to fulfill their potential and make informed decisions regarding their career path. The resource is authorized by Alberta Education and is used in every high school in the province. Industry Spotlight Canada works with educators, government and industry to ensure the resource is up to date and meets the learner outcomes set by Alberta Education. We seek to build partnerships with companies and organizations, to guarantee that future generations of Albertan’s have the best possible career information and advice.

Platinum

The Platinum package is marketed towards companies looking to be industry leaders, when it comes to recruiting and inspiring the next generation of workers. Working alongside Industry Spotlight Canada and government, these companies will assist in the education of high school and post secondary students on career opportunities in Alberta.

• A broadcast quality film, highlighting young individuals who work for the sponsor and how they entered the workforce
• DVDs distributed free of charge to all high schools in the province, along with the accompanying teacher guide
• Animated career paths
• The case studies are used by CTS, CALM and Guidance teachers in coordination with the curriculum set by Alberta Education
• Inclusion in the teaching guide
• Sponsors retain copyright of the short film
• Sponsors have a fully interactive webpage on the Industry Spotlight Canada website including exclusive access to the job board, advertising opportunities and written case studies.
• The opportunity to provide staff for the brand new video conferencing facility, linking students directly with industry leaders, both urban and rural schools can participate.

Gold

Gold sponsorship is an excellent way for companies to participate in the Industry Spotlight series and help shape Alberta’s future workers. The Gold package includes the creation of a company film to introduce students to the opportunities in the sponsors business.

• Retaining the copyright of the film

Silver sponsorship allows companies to participate in Industry Spotlight Canada Career Management tool. This offers companies an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to the next generation of workers.
