Register

Below is the form to register for a new account. When you register using the register form on either the StarCraft or Brood War sections of this site, your account will be active for both. The following conditions apply:

Account name characters
An account name is limited to the characters found naturally on the keyboard. All other characters will be completely filtered out when submitted. The list of disallowed characters generally covers all "special" ASCII characters. As a general rule, your name could contain the following letters: A through Z, a through z, 0 through 9, ! through ), positive and negative signs, underscores, square brackets, colons and semicolons, tildes, periods and commas.

Battle.net account
Your Battle.net account referenced here will be the Battle.net account that you will need to play the game with. The replays you post, and your opponents post, will reference this name. This name can be changed, however a 24 hour wait period will occur before you are allowed to report another game (thus, nullifying the validity of any games played with your older name -- or more precisely, giving you 24 more hours to play on your old name). Battle.net accounts are subject to the same character filtering as account names.

E-mail address
The e-mail address you enter is purely for reference. Administrators might use it to contact you on urgent matters, so it is advisable to have a valid address, but other than this your e-mail address will never be used.
