Salary
Salaries for social workers vary considerably depending on the employer and the worker's qualifications.
According to the 2009 Alberta Wage and Salary Survey, Albertans in the Social Workers group earned from $18.13 to $44.51 an hour. The average wage was $34.10 an hour.
